Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using WANDM Notes.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the WANDM Notes platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Dr. Mohammed Khalid Khalafallah and Dr. Shima Mo. Ali, who are referred to in these Terms as "we", "us", or "WANDM". The Service is accessed through the domain mrcs.wandmnotes.com and related subdomains.
These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information. Please read both documents carefully.
Account eligibility
To create an account, you must:
- Be at least eighteen years of age.
- Be a medical student, medical graduate, medical practitioner, or otherwise have a genuine professional interest in postgraduate medical examinations.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- Use a personal email address that you control. Shared inboxes are not permitted.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe do not meet these criteria, including accounts created with fraudulent information or used in violation of these Terms.
Account and security
Your account is personal. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:
- Not share your login credentials with any other person.
- Not allow any other person to access the Service through your account.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Use a strong password and update it if it is compromised.
To protect paying subscribers, the Service enforces a single active session policy. When you sign in from a new device, the previous session is signed out automatically. Repeated cross-device sign-ins that suggest credential sharing may result in account suspension.
We may, at our discretion, require email verification, additional authentication steps, or temporary account holds where we detect unusual activity.
Subscription and payment
Access to the full Service is provided on a subscription basis. Subscription duration, pricing, and access scope are communicated at the point of purchase. Payment is processed outside the platform by arrangement between you and the WANDM team.
4.1 Activation
After payment, your account is activated by an administrator. Activation typically happens within twenty-four hours during business days. You will see your status change from "pending" to "active" on the home screen.
4.2 Renewal
Subscriptions do not auto-renew. Before your subscription expires, we will display reminders within the Service. You can renew at any time by contacting us.
4.3 Refunds
Because the Service grants immediate access to digital content (notes, MCQs, mocks stations), all sales are final after activation. Refunds are not provided except where required by law, where activation could not be completed within fourteen days of payment, or at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.
4.4 Free content
Some content (introductory free mocks, public landing pages) is available without payment. Free content may change or be removed at any time without notice.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: personal study and revision for postgraduate medical examinations. You may not:
- Copy, redistribute, or republish any of the Service's content (text, MCQs, explanations, illustrations) in any form, public or private, without our written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content using automated tools. The Service is designed for interactive study, not bulk download.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the platform's source code or assets beyond what is necessary for normal interactive use.
- Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit your access. This includes "tutoring" sessions where you display the platform's content to non-subscribers.
- Share, post, upload, or transmit screenshots, screen recordings, exports, or any other reproduction of the Service's paid content to any third party, including but not limited to messaging apps (WhatsApp, Telegram), social media platforms, shared drives, study groups, or public forums.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person.
- Interfere with the technical operation of the Service, including denial-of-service attacks, unauthorised attempts to access other accounts, or exploitation of bugs.
- Use the Service to upload or transmit malware, spam, or other unlawful material.
5.1 Content traceability
To deter unauthorised sharing, the Service watermarks paid content pages with your account identifier and the timestamp of your session. The watermark appears across every paid page and is preserved in screenshots. If we identify a leaked screenshot, recording, or extracted document originating from a WANDM Notes account, we may trace it back to the originating account using these markers and the Service's access logs.
5.2 Consequences of sharing
Violation of the content-sharing prohibitions in this section may result in:
- Immediate, permanent termination of your account and any associated accounts (family members, colleagues, devices linked to the same payment method or login pattern).
- No refund for any remaining subscription period, even if termination occurs immediately after payment.
- Refusal of future subscriptions from you or your accounts at our sole discretion.
- Where the leak involves redistribution at scale (e.g. posting to a public channel reaching dozens of users), we reserve the right to seek civil damages under applicable copyright and intellectual property law in your jurisdiction.
These provisions apply equally during any preview, closed beta, early-access, or trial period offered by the Service.
Intellectual property
All content on the Service — including but not limited to the question banks, written notes, explanations, illustrations, design, branding, source code, and the WANDM name and logo — is owned by WANDM and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
By subscribing, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the content for your own study during the subscription period. The licence does not include any right of redistribution, derivation, public display, or commercial use.
Where we incorporate content from public sources (textbook concepts, guideline summaries), we do so under fair-use principles and with attribution where appropriate. Specific guideline citations remain the property of their respective publishing bodies.
Your study progress data (which questions you have answered, your scores, etc.) is yours. We will provide it to you on request as described in the Privacy Policy.
Medical disclaimer
The content of WANDM Notes — including question stems, explanations, recommended management, drug doses, and clinical reasoning frameworks — is provided for the purpose of preparing for postgraduate medical examinations. It is not a substitute for clinical judgement, supervision, local guidelines, or up-to-date clinical references.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You will not use the Service's content to make clinical decisions about real patients.
- You will rely on current local guidelines, hospital protocols, drug formularies (such as the BNF), and senior clinical supervision when caring for patients.
- Medicine evolves rapidly. Content that was accurate at the time of writing may become out of date.
- Errors and omissions are possible despite careful editorial review. If you find a factual error, please report it so we can correct it.
WANDM, its operators, and its contributors disclaim all liability for any harm — to you, your patients, or any third party — arising from the use of the Service's content in clinical contexts.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
- Our total cumulative liability to you, for any cause and under any theory of liability, shall not exceed the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or examination failure, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where this is the case, the above limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by your local law.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access ceases immediately. As described in section 4.3, refunds are generally not provided.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, threatened the security of the Service, or otherwise acted in a manner that harms us or other users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive the termination of these Terms.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Riyadh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your local law.
Before formal dispute resolution, you agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us first. Most issues can be resolved through good-faith dialogue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a change, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email and display a notice on the platform for at least thirty days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and may request termination as described in section 9.
